Overview
A03 investigates forced dewetting phenomena, development of instabilities and emergence of the cavitation in a fast stretching liquid bridge formed between two solid substrates. The study is performed using an experimental setup which provides a controlled, constant acceleration of one of the plates.
Special focus is on
- the effects of rheologically complex liquids (suspensions, polymer dispersions, real ink fluids)
- the influence of thermal effects, and
- the effects of accelerated substrates.
The methods and models developed for Newtonian fluids in the first funding period will be generalized and further developed for complex cases.
