Challenges in Nanoscale Physics of Wetting Phenomena

International Workshop

01.08.2019

An international workshop on nanoscale wetting phenomena is to be held from 26 – 30 August 2019 at the MPI for the Physics of Complex Systems in Dresden. The workshop is coordinated by Shahriar Afkhami (New Jersey Institute of Technology), Tatiana Gambaryan-Roisman (TU Darmstadt) and Len Pismen (Technion, Haifa).

Following recent successes in bridging the dynamics of the contact line at the mesoscopic length scales to the macroscopic flow, this workshop focuses on contemporary approaches to wetting phenomena that involve probing them down to the nanoscale. The workshop aims to bring together new experimental techniques, theoretical tools, and computational approaches, allowing new insights into this old problem.
