Multiscale and Multiphase Flows

Holger Marschall and Hrvoje Jasak at WCCM-ECCOMAS Congress

11.01.2021 09:00-15.01.2021 17:00

Holger Marschall and CRC 1194 Mercator Fellow Hrvoje Jasak are organizing a mini-symposium on multiscale and multiphase flows at the 14th World Congress Computational Mechanics/8th Eccomas Congress to be held as a virtual congress from January 11-15, 2021.

The mini-symposium will focus on numerical methods with emphasis on recent developments, new research ideas, techniques, and directions in the field of Multiphase Computational Fluid Dynamics and Transport Phenomena. It is on advanced numerical techniques and methods as well as rigorous modelling with emphasis on multiphase flows as part of Multiscale and Multiphysics Systems.

The topic of this mini-symposium is aligned with foci of the collaborative research centres CRC 1194 „Interaction between Transport and Wetting Processes“ and CRC-TRR 150 „Turbulent, Chemically Reactive, Multi-Phase Flows near Walls“ of the German Research Foundation (DFG).
