Equal opportunities for female and male researchers, and support to better reconcile family and working life are top priorities within the CRC 1194.

Offers and measures

The gender equality measures of the CRC 1194 build on central elements of the TU Darmstadt and specific complementary elements of the CRC adapted to the situation in natural and engineering science. These are for example

  • “Getting started with science” program for female students: Participation in discipline-specific conferences, individual coaching and mentoring
  • Short-term International Mentoring for female PhD students and postdocs
  • Group mentoring for female PhD students and postdocs
