Gender equality

Equal opportunities for female and male researchers, and support to better reconcile family and working life are top priorities within the CRC 1194.

Offers and measures

The gender equality measures of the CRC 1194 build on central elements of the TU Darmstadt and specific complementary elements of the CRC adapted to the situation in natural and engineering science. These are for example

  • Mentoring programme “Getting started in science” for female students (including participation in subject-specific conferences)
  • Individual mentoring for female doctoral candidates and postdocs
  • International mentoring for female doctoral and postdoctoral researchers during stays abroad
  • Annual equality day for gender- and diversity-sensitive behaviour at the SFB
