First Datathon on research data management

Joint event of CRCs 1194 and TRR 150 with the Clean Circles project

2023/02/16

On 8 February 2023, the first Datathon of CRC 1194 and CRC Transregio 150 and the Clean Circles cluster project took place. The topic was how research data management according to the FAIR principles looks like in practice and how it can be implemented.

Members of CRC 1194, CRC/TRR 150 and the Clean Circles project took part in the datathon on research data management.

Research data management is an integral part of good scientific practice and an important issue for the work in collaborative researc projects. According to the GO FAIR Initiative, research data should be findable, accessible, interoperable and resusable. For this reason, training sessions are held at regular intervals to teach the basics and concepts of research data management. Doctoral students bring their research datasets to structure them, prepare processed data for public repositories, or learn to set up a Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline with the TU GitLab server.

The Datathon ist a cooperation of the the Collaborative Research Centres 1194, TRR 150 and the project Clean Circles.
